Hi, I'm new to forums and relatively new to cigars too. In the last year I've grown to love my new interest but feel that I've only scratched the surface. I have a Cubans humidor and a new world one too so I'd love some suggestions on things to try, I love dark maduro like Oliva G's from the new world and Partigas D4's from Old word.
Also I have some un identified Cohiba's that came from a family members estate which I'd like help with. I think the short ones are robusto's from between 1993 & 2003 but not a clue about the longer ones.

What you all think they are?
    Anyway thanks for now.

      Welcome to the forum!

My guess would be Robustos and maybe Esplendidos but I don't know anywhere near enough about them to be sure

Hello and welcome, I'm afraid to say that the smaller Cohiba's appear to be fake.

The big boys are Siglo VI (I think) and the smaller are indeed Robustos

To my untrained eye. Missing row of squares, all the CoRo bands I have seen i'm fairly sure the COHIBA stands out slightly proud/embossed slightly, The yellow is also extremely dull in comparison to the other Cohiba's in shot. I only have a couple Cohibas but the yellow is pretty much spot on across the range to my eyes.

But i'm no expert.... far from it.

The PSDN 4 should be the same length as the cohiba robusto but in the pic they look to have a big length difference

Older band Marc only has the 2 rows of dots.
Also why the cohiba is not embossed.

This is the CoRo band I have seen.

That's pretty conclusive evidence that my eye is indeed untrained. Lol

Wow thanks for all the replies so fast. I went to fake at first but having done some research they do seem correct to pics on this site: http://www.cubancigarwebsite.com/bra...x?brand=Cohiba
Standard band C. I'm less of an expert than all you guys but it looks good.
They are shorter than the D4's yes, maybe by an inch ish. I'd love to know for sure so fingers crossed. Anyway they were free so no big deal. By the way I smoked one and it was good, sweeter than anything else I had and flavoursome but smooth.

Well there you go then, they taste good and they were free, who cares if they're fakes.

I've just realised my mistake. Those Partigas are D5's! Interesting anyway, the bands have changed a lot over the years. Be nice if they are older Cohiba's, they seem to have been well cared for other than a couple with split wrappers. The longer sticks are definitely newer embossed bands so could be pretty much new I guess.
