Hi Chris, this thread is now so long I can't remember if I have welcomed you or not but just incase...Welcome! Nevercould grow a full beard but enjoy a nice goatee, unfortunately the wife doesn't. Then again she doesn't like cigars or fishing for Northerns either. Boy we should have discussed all that stuff before the proposal eh? Anyway great having new blood on the site, say are you really Jeremey's cousin? Still we can't chose our family.

Nice! Are they Walleye... Or Your Northern Pike (what we just call Pike)?

Northern Pike (or in the west of Canada they call them "Jacks") .. still have not figured out why.

Here is a big Walleye my buddy got couple years back.. I have yet to see it equal here. I take no credit.. sadly

In the UK a Jack is a young pike of small proportions.

Quite possible thats where it came from. Only difference is western Canada calls them Jack throughout their lives.

That would be great. I'm going to spend sometime sturgeon fishing this summer. Same guy in the above pic has some great spots .

That would be great! I would love to go bow fishing given my enjoyment of archery and it's illegality this side of the pond.

Nahh not that bad, my buddy was pulling 50-80lbs out of the river in downtown Edmonton (of course not trying to fish for them) I dont think they get huge here tops 150lbs-200lbs at the most.

I think you need your treaty card to Spear/bow fish here.

nope! just need to do it in season. and only 4 types allowed.
spear and bow fishing is only allowed in certain regions (a few just in my backyard here in Ont!) and only between the months of May-June and August-September.

Hunting with bows in any form was made illegal here many years ago.

I have the equipment, short a reel for either one of my bows or crossbows.
