Hi Ladies (if there are any here?) and Gentlemen! I am a cigar lover from the North East (Darlington).
I stopped smoking cigarettes in 1994 and switched to cigars. Nothing fancy, just Hamlets or similar pub cigars. I suppose I smoked cheap, machine made cigars until about 2003 when I decided to cut back on quantity and go for better quality.
I smoke mostly NC's. I prefer larger RG cigars and I cant afford the big Cubans. However, Punch are (so far) my favourite smoke, prefering a medium/full flavour. I like to get hold of a few Punch Elites several times a year if I can.
My wife doesn't smoke and hates cigarettes but loves the smell of cigars and often comes to sit in the garage with me when I have my weekend smoke - which is fine by me, as I prefer some company .
I aim to make some new friends on the forum and hope that there are some members local to me that may be able to meet for a herf sometime.

That's what they do, draw you in, mess with your brain, feed you images of the promised land and the holy grail. You start to hunger for their teachings and you immerse yourself more into 'their ways'. You strive for the day of your acceptance and after many trials and tests the high chief ceremonially gives you your PM privileges, a proud day many of us can only dream of.




Ps. Mother is from Spennymoor, Grandparents came down in the 60's with the pits. She does that accent change thing when talking to family on the phone, so funny, in no time at all she's sounding like Bobby Thompson.

Yes, even though Spennymoor is only 15mins away, they have alot broader accent than us from Darlo . Southerners think I have a Geordie accent - but I can struggle to understand someone from the heart of Newcastle .

Many moons ago I worked at the Nissan car plant in Sunderland. The Geordies and Mackams at each others throats all day (mostly jokingly). Sometimes, when they got in full flow, it was like listening to Scandawegian!
