    Hi Guys,

So, in my search for a new experience before I die, I thought I would hasten that process by expanding my smoking horizons*

Smoked basically anything I could get my hands on for the last 30 years, cigarettes, rolling tobacco, pipes and cheap and crap cigars such as henri wintermans, hamlet, cafe creme and villager lol so if I have any taste buds left, I will be hoping to give them something more than burning rubber to mull over.

My first foray into the world has been to order a little 4 cigar selection and am beyond excited to get my mitts onto a proper bona fide cuban cigar, it really does feel like an occasion in and of itself to be honest.

Also panicked a bit as i have ordered singles and don't intend to smoke them all immediately, so have quickly gotten together some bits and pieces for a tupperdor, minus the cedar but I am sure i can grab some off ebay or what have you, and will then, hopefully, be set to further explore the cigar world safe in the knowledge i can store them for that special occasion as and when they occur.

Anyway, think that's about it really, I live oop norf just outside Manchester and am currently, bizarrely enough given where I am posting this, on a health kick lol

*I am not dying (I hope) and I appreciate Cigar smoking is nothing like as harmful as cigarette smoking etc etc yada yada

Welcome man What cigars did you pick up?

Also you'll quickly learn that Cuban Cigars aren't that much of a big deal- in America sure, but here they're so easy to get. It's getting hold of the good non cubans that's a real special something, when you land a few Ave Maria's or a box of Drew Estates that's something to get excited about haha.

I guess it's a "grass is greener" thing and all the rott!

FTR, I've had both of those sticks you mentioned - the Ave Maria's were a big disappointment after all the hype I've read (but that's just me).

Now, the Drew Estates, on the other hand, are unique and interesting sticks. The problem is...where do you store 'em?

Can't keep them in the same unit as your other fine puros, now can you.

Hey el P! I guess you could store 'em in the same unit if you don't mind the taste of herbs. oils, and rare spices on ALL you sticks!

I'm buying in a few Ave Maria's soon and I'm looking forwards to them, maybe it was just a bad stick you had. Either way I'll let you guys know what I reckon when I get them.

In regard to the DE sticks you can keep them in the same Humi as your other sticks, just drybox them for a while before smoking. Say you want an afternoon/evening smoke- pull them out in the morning and stick them in a drybox until then and they should smoke just fine. I've done this with MUWAT's and UC's so far and they've been fine. Not had a LP yet but I should be getting some in with the AM's.

Alternatively just pick up a tupperware tub and a boveda 62% pack and shove your DE sticks in there, that'll cost you less than a tenner.
