Hi everyone, I'm Marc from Preston. And after multiple failed attempts at joining (Apparently I have a high likely hood of being a bot or spammer) I am finally here!
I have been smoking a pipe for almost a year and have often contemplated jumping into the world of cigars.
It was recently my 30th and my generous brother in law/smoking buddy bought me a bumper load of stogies: VegaFina Perla, Santa Damiana Tubulares, Don Ramos No3, Romeo y Julieta No2, Romeo y Julieta Desde 1875, 5x De Olifant Panatella, Carlito God or Fire 2005, Cuaba Tradicionales, Brick House Natural, Cohiba Siglo No2, Rocky Patel Vintage 1990, Diplomaticos Habana, Antonio Gimenez Taraqueria De Filipinas, 3x Chinchalero Fuerte (1 Campana and 2 Robusto), 4x Chinchalero Hecho a Mano Perla, Davidoff Entreacto, 2x Dominican Estates Selection (1 Corona and 1 Pyramide), 2x Quorum, Luis Martinez Silver Selection, Don Diego Aniversario, Comacho Corojo Monarca, DonTomas International, Hecho a Mano The Viking, La Paz Primeros, Independencia 1898, Aging Room M356, Punch Coronation and 10 Cohiba Mini's.
I'm at a bit of a loss where to start with them and not realy sure if there is anything worth saving untill im a bit more experienced/confident. I relaxed for an hour with one of the Quorum's and a couple 12 year Pulteney's the other night and enjoyed it quite a lot until I got to the last quarter and it lost some of it's sparkle and became slightly bitter (The Quorum not the Pulteney). I have also had a couple of the Cohiba Mini's on breaks at work and to be totally honest I think they are bordering on disgusting, almost acrid and very sulphurous.
I suppose one of my main concerns is unknowingly smoking something with a glass of Glenfiddich when I should have saved it for a 1983 Bladnoch, on the other hand perhaps I have a box full of Hankey Bannister's?
Anyway I hope I can learn and start to give a little back to what seems to be a very friendly forum!
