  • Hello!

    Hello Gents (and possibly Ladies!?),

I've been registered for a while now (after a back and forwards tussle with Deano who kept rejecting my attempts to register on the grounds that my email "looked weird"!!!). My interest in cigars started properly about 10 months ago when I purchased my first Cubans; a Bolivar petit corona and a Por Larranaga petit corona.

Since then I have tried several different sticks, both Cuban and Non-Cuban, and I now have a humidor with roughly 30 cigars in it. I'm not a frequent smoker as I am a post grad student (therefore no loans, 9-5 in university, and two jobs!), and really do struggle to fund my hobby. I allow myself a cigar every fortnight roughly, which I'm sure would be hell for some of you guys!!

I will post pictures of my set up in the new in the humidor section, as I have just picked up a new humidor with some new cigars.

Welcome to the forum littlepea. It can be an expensive game ay, but it seems like you've managed to shell out for a bit of what you like

I'm not sure that I fully understand the concept of bombing but I've turned it on nonetheless!! I see you're from Canada...I've been considering moving out there once I graduate!!

People can give you cigars out of the goodness of their humidors
And not a bad idea. However, if you come to Ontario, be prepared to be waterboarded for your money if you want a good tipple. Youve got tescos, weve got LCBO. And the Laphroaig 12 is a good 85 dollars here!!
Otherwise, its quite nice. In the suburbs, a three story, three bed and bath can cost you only $700 000 dollars. Completr with (At least) 10m^2 lawns. Front and back.
Sleep on that and see what you might want

                        haha funny man.
We're not doing THAT bad in the economy. Especially when the world always compares us to the neighbour down south. My signature should say it all

Welcome aboard littlepea - the perils of enjoying cigars on a tight, student budget... I went fewer but better quality myself - might as well enjoy to the max those few blissful moments.

That was the approach I was going to take...however with my weekly food budget at around ?20, I find it very hard to justify a stick that would cost more than that! The 25 or so that I have now are to last me for the next 12 months as I am saving to go travelling next March, and every penny helps!!
