Hello, I have bin reading the forum for a weeks and I have now purchased my very first humidor. I am really looking forward to purchasing my first sticks to put in it. I am located in Welshpool, mid Wales, does anyone know of a good tobaccoist not too far from me? Any recommendations for my first cigar into
my humidor? I am very excited about exploring the world of cigars.

Hi Matt and welcome. I know we have a few Welsh members who will be able to direct you to suitable stores in your area although it may be a while till they get on line as I'm sure the whole of Wales still has a massive hangover after Saturday.

BTW you managed to start two similar threads which I have merged here so you now appear in stereo.

I lived up in North Wales for a while, and there was a cigar retailer in Colwyn Bay, but that won't be of much help. Wales is pretty starved of cigar retailers - I used to go over to Chester for cigars.

Cigar shops in Wales not a lot sorry
The bear shop in Cardiff is ok but be Prepared to pay for it Very expensive

I used to smoke cigarettes but I gave up on them a few years ago, I had a few NUB connecticut 460s given to me and I enjoyed them so decided to get into cigars. The NUB is the only cigar I have really tried. I want to start off on a few mild sticks before I try the full bodied cigars.

Hm a large gauged stick the nub!

May I suggest something from the Hoyo de Monterrey line, usually I'd say something smaller but seems you're ok with the larger ones! Try a HdM No. 2 - a Robusto.

I would agree with this. Or the one that got me hooked. The HDM Petit Robusto
