  • G'day from a very wet western part of the UK

    G'day everyone,

I'm Frank, originally from Melbourne, now living in the west country, but only just, a few steps north and it becomes west midlands. Depending on how you look at it, could be good or a bad thing.

Just been on holiday in Cuba and have bought back quite a lot of of cigars, most of which are in my tupador, and the rest in the humidor. Bought them as I went along whilst there at the hotel cigar shop, which was very good I thought. Got to know the ladies there quire well and they had lots of advice and were very helpful. Disappointed with the airport purchases though (Holguin). Bought 2 boxes. Cohiba Siglo VI and R&J Belicosos. Both extremely dry and crackle like rice crispies when pressed. I just hope they revive OK......

Not a great expert on cigars, only really having got into them last year when we went to Cuba and got a taste for them, so I've only smoked cuban cigars so far. Now that I know a bit more, my idea is to buy one good cigar a week, so hve been reading postings on here very keenly to get ideas.

I also love Aussie Rules and keep an eye on the good old tigers, more like pussycats these days though, and ride a Harley, hence the nickname...Oh, and I play banjo, mandolin and guitar (Bluegrass and old time).

Well, that's me. See you all on the forum.

    Frank

    Hello and welcome....

I've got a great cigar collection - it's actually not a collection, because that would imply I wasn't going to smoke every last one of 'em.

                  Welcome to UKCF!

Went through Winchcombe once on the way to the Bugatti Trust at Prescott Hill Climb, liked it so much that we stopped for a few hours.

Welcome mate. Moving there must've been a shock to the system!

                    1 cigar a week... we'll see

Thanks everyone, and yes, it was a shock to the system. We lived in the SE for a few years before moving out this way. Quieter, but a lot wetter. Someone must really have upset the gods in this part of the world at some point in the past and they still haven't forgiven.... Or maybe it's all Morris' fault for insisting on dancing everywhere in strange clothes. All that stick bashing is causing waves in the air, which clouds seems to love... Yeah, all down to Morris.
