    Trinidad Reyes.
    Montecristo Petit Edmundo.
    Ramon Allones Specially Selected.
    Ramon Allones Small club Corona.
    Romeo & Julieta Cedros No3.
    Hoyo de Monterrey Petit Robusto.
    Partagas Short.
El Rey del Mundo Demi Tasse.
    Rafael Gonzales Petit Corona.

Any of the above...all Cuban & everyone IMHO far better than the Short Story for a newbee.....

    I'm not a die-hard Cuban lover but I still know what's best

I have to say I don't think there's such a thing as a starter smoke.

Every one has personal tastes and preferences.

Try from across the range - something that's considered mild, something medium, something strong and decide on your own particular flavour and strength preferences.

Half the fun is in experimenting so don't limit yourself.

Sampler packs are the way to go to get a headstart on trying a range of things.

Another bit of good advice is to ALWAYS pick a cigar that you have the time for.

No point picking a churchill if you've got 20 minutes to spare.
If you got 'em, smoke 'em !

Thanks for all these reply's guys. I go on the 17th so just over a week to do some homework.

I,m going to have about ?150 set aside to spend on cigars so think i'm going to get (as suggested) all different verities from the Mild through to the strong.

That way i can sit at home and chuff my way through them with my fav tipples and find out what my taste is.
