newbie from Ipswich

Hi all, I'm a newbie from ipswich and just started to enjoy a cigar. I like my scotch and a friend introduced me to cigars with it and I'm hooked.

Basically I will be looking for a good smoke on a modest budget per cigar so all tips helpful. At the moment I don't want to spend more that 10 to 15 pounds on a single cigar and have been looking at starter packs.

Any info welcome.

Welcome to the forum. My advice would be to start with shorter smokes (these tend to be under the 10 quid mark, plus a 7 inch monster can be a bit much to handle at first), and to try as many different brands as possible so that you can find out what you really like. Some good shorter Cuban cigars are Trinidad Reyes, Partagas Shorts, Cohiba Siglo 1s, Montecristo No. 5s, Ramon Allones Small Club Coronas and El Rey del Mundo Demi Tasse. As for non-Cuban smokes, I can recommend Arturo Fuente Short Stories, Padron 2000s, and Rocky Patel 1992 Juniors.

Thanks for the warm welcome all. Looks like my budget was ok judging by what I found on the internet I thought a good smoke was gonna cost me but I will sample a few and see what I like.
I will post after a visit tonight to my local retailer and see what I think

Hi and welcome Bolivar Gold Medals are a very nice smoke and well within your price range, there are some good samplers from Cgars which should give you some nice options and JJ Fox also do a nice range of samplers.
