  • Salutations from a London newbie

    Hello everyone,

Finally got around to introducing myself here, although I've been perusing the forum for a while now. I'm Dan and I'm a 20 year old student from London

I got into cigars around a year ago and have been mainly smoking Cohiba and R&J since then, although I've had a few Montecristos, H.Upmanns and Punchs thrown in for good measure. I also had the fortune of recieving an (almost) complete box of Dannemann Espada Brazils, and some Davidoff 1000s from a friends dad who, as luck would have it, stopped smoking as I started. I've certainly found them a nice alternative for when I can't afford any new cubans.

Recently (around a month ago) I took to pipe smoking. Although it is all very new to me I am enjoying it and hope to learn more and explore further down this avenue alongside cigar smoking.

Really looking forward to getting involved with the community here, it seems both friendly and knowledgeable from an outsiders perspective. Also excited by the prospect of meeting some 'younger' (as well as the rest) smokers since there seems to be a distinct lack of us, especially at my university.

    Greetings
    Dan

      Morning Dan,

      Welcome!

I'm a youngster (24) like yourself and have been smoking cigars for a couple of years.

What got you into them if you don't mind me asking?

For me it was my Dad smoking them for the last 40 years, and me getting a cheeky taste every now and then

I've got a great cigar collection - it's actually not a collection, because that would imply I wasn't going to smoke every last one of 'em.

Excellent, another Dan :-) Best name.

Welcome to UKCF - I'm another youngster (24)... Seems there is a lot of us early to mid 20's.

Whereabouts in London are you from? I originated in North East London (Woodford)
