Sorry bud, sounds like their only use is compost. Once completely dried out, the rejuvenation process will take months to years. You can take oil away from a stogie but cannot place back.

Haha! I am good thanks. Don't have the time to take on such a commitment to restore cigars. Can't you give them to your brother?

Oh Christ!!! I can't even give the 'kin things away!

So and I quote (from the tube of Rom Y Juls):

"The rich aroamtic flavor of thsi fine Havana cigar will be protected by the aluminium container until opened" is not strictly true?!

Thanks! I can tell you that I'll do my best to rejuvenate them – there are many things I'd do for 10 years old Cohibas and RyJ…

Manipulate the cigars with extreme care or they will fall into dust, literally!

                I've jsut Googeld it:

Regardless of the cap, tubes cigars should be humidified in the same manner as other cigars.

the alu tubos used by the cuban cigar industry are NOT airtight.

The Cohibas have very littel smell compared to the tubed RyJ items. So not good I reckon. I've now googled it and understnd the problem better. Not much good giving to my brotehr unless he buys a humidor etc, As I said samllclub PM your addres adn I'll send you some. Thye are fragiel I was going to thrwo tehm in a jiffy bag, now I look, that won't work, so wrapping will be a pain. Don't want to spend too much time on it, but i'll do my best.

There was someone on here that restored some old unhumidified sticks(tippex maybe) and they smoked ok from the review so might be worth a punt. As said above the tubos are not airtight and still require a humidor. Sorry to disappoint.
