Hello from Cigar Walk Nomad

I had an interesting walk home yesterday from South Bank. Thought I may pick up a smoke for the journey home at JJ Fox where I took a slight detour that would end 7hrs later. The middle part goes something like this;

• Nic introduces himself and explains the London Cigar Walk and the UK Cigar Forum and its members. Nic kindly asks me to join to the next stop.
• Left JJ Fox headed to American Bar patio to meet the gang and smoked a cigar
• Headed to Crowne Plaza for dinner, met some more new faces
• Apres dinner cigar at the patio of a nice pub across the street

Needless to say I met some great people and really enjoyed spending time with some down to earth cigar smokers (to name a few, TJ, Robusto, senora IV, Mr. Peanut, Stogidog).

Hello to all the members I did not meet.

Some of my details;

• Moved to London 2 yrs ago from Canada
• Enjoy mostly Cuban cigars, but have About 30% non-Cubans in the humi
• Smoked for a few years and still very much in the bottom of the learning curve (probably learned 5% of what I know yesterday!)

Hello mate, what a wonderful day we all had in no small part to your wonderful company at the American bar, I am so glad that you have dropped onto the forum and hope that you enjoy our little get togethers online.

If I ever come upto London again I hope that we could get together and herf.

Great to meet you, to discuss cigars, to discuss travelling on the tube, to talk about living in a box, and how Cuban men know how to pack boxes.

Meeting someone for the very first time who happens to be working on a Partagas D4 is a fine start!

Hope you stick with the forum, like to learn about cigars and like nonsense.

Stogiedog - let me know if you are in London as there is a communal garden in my area that makes for a pretty decent smoking venue as far as central London permits

Robusto ? nice metaphor I will post my cigar and non-cigar related Cuba experiences at some point

Nic - I do want to go to the NUB event on Thurs but I might still be in Ireland on vacation with my brother over from the US. If I am back I will be there. Keep me posted if there are any other events like these going on in London as I?ll likely go. We?ll definitely have to chat some more on the fishing front.

Peanut - seems like you are in the London area as well ? might be grounds for a get together smoke in the big smoke

TJ - no problem. It was ironic how close your hotel was to my place. It was great that you hopped (swam?) over the pond for this get together. Hope we catch up again.
