A big welcome from a fellow Yank from California living in the UK!!
I've lived here since the age of 2 though (I'm 30 now!). My dad was American, I was born in Long Beach, then my my mum and dad moved with me back to my mums home, England, when I was 2.
All of my dads side of the family are in Orange County and I go visit as often as I can, so spent quite a bit of time there over the years. I still hold a US passport, never got a Uk one, so I'm still officially a US citizen and very much class myself as American (as weird as that is).
I plan on spending my retirement in sunny California.
