I'm sure I'll bump into you in there soon enough mate. We;ll have to get something arranged. Apologies to Keith, his good lady and Nick for leaving so abruptly on Saturday, I suddenly realised that it was 5.30 and I was supposed to be home for 5.00! Only got a small ear bending though!

Have to say the Monte Edmundo was splendid; lots of smoke, full bodied but not over-powering, only thing that let it down was a slightly uneven burn.

Have stowed my purchases (Gloria Cubana 200 RE, H d M Epi 2, and RA 2011 limited edition, and the box of Partagas Lusies) in the newly seasoned humidor. Got it off fleabay, Thompson in cherry, never been used, 100 stick, ?30 + postage, bargain! That will be my display/current selection box, and I have ordered an extra humidifier and hygrometer to make a tuppador for long term aging.

      THE BUG HAS DEFINITELY CAUGHT.

      Tom

PS thanks for the dram of rum Nick!

          Cheers Keith.

Had a good few hours in the CCC today chatting to some spot on fellas; Dave, Gleb, Mike and Nick. Had a Por Larranaga, which was very nice, followed by a Trinidad Reyes which, despite all the hype, I won't be buying again in a hurry unfortunately. I just found it less than complex, harsh from start to finish if I'm honest, and the draw was ok for 1/3 then too tight from there on. I think the larger gauge cigars suit me better.

          Tom

I have been smoking the Trini Reyes and loving them.
Today I had a bad one, harsh from start to finish and far too tight.
Pulled it apart and it was just rubbish in there, green leaves and the usual banana leaf in the middle that was thicker than a leather coat I bought recently.
Absolute rubbish, all from a box of 24.
6 fantastic and 1 absolutely rubbish.
Try again and see if the new one matches the hype.
It is typical cuban I'm afraid.
