Welcome. Pretty new to the game myself. From what I have read, dark corner in the summer. As you are here in the UK, I am not entirely sure that it really matters during the winter. Definitely get yourself a digital Hygrometer if you don't already have one.

Hi and welcome Luke
As a general rule you need to place your humidor in a location that does not vary wildly in temperature during the day/night, avoid any direct sunlight or very cold locations, generally around the 18c temp is best. Make sure you season the humidor well before putting sticks in (do a forum search for guides) and have a hygrometer/temperature reading device too.
Try to resist opening your humidor too much to admire them (hard I know!)
Also during the colder times of the year when the heating is on you will find that the humidifier will need topping up more.
The fuller humidor will also aid in keeping a stable humidity.
Feel free to ask any questions, or post pics of your collection, we love cigar p*rn
