A little to introduce myself.Ive smoked cigars on and off for over twenty years.Inhaling gigarette smoke as a youngster always ended up giving me chest problems so puffing on cigars was a good alternative.I tried many of the easily available brands with a cuban cigar for a treat now and then.
I gave up for a few years but missed the pleasure of a cigar when i went fishing.I collect and use vintage tackle.Split cane rods and reels made from the 1930s to the mid 50s or so.The two seem perfect together.
My cigars came mainly from good tobacconists.Mostly tubed.Unfortunately they seem to be dissapearing around here.(I live in south somerset a few miles from Yeovil)So my last purchases have been from Waitrose would you believe!.They stock a few in my local one.
Since joining this forum and generally having a look on the net ive realised that i may need a Humidor to get the best out of good cigars. Also ive seen the delights that "samplers"have to offer.
My most recent purchases have been Punch Coronations,H.Upmann Coronas junior,Cohiba minis, and Villiger export x5s(not cubans but i like them!).
Oh ive also started smoking at home too.On the patio if the weather is warm and in the greenhouse if its wet.I have a rather nice chair in there now.I am finding that smoking a nice cigar is very relaxing though it needs a little time and thought to get the best enjoyment.Which i suppose is what its all about!.
