Gaucho in Hampstead

Just seen this... a cigar club event at Gaucho in Hampstead on their terrace. Can't see where it say the cigar/spirit on offer, but does offer 25% off food following the event.

Cost is £42 per person

Wondered if anyone had been to one of these?

Only been to a Gauchos once. Wasn't impressed with their wet aged steak.

Good find though. I've never been to one of these types of restaurant cigar events. Let us know how you get on if you go.

Given they are taking about H&F could be a Cuban cigar.

Yea it's a bit ambiguous. The cynic in me sees H&F bringing the latest Cohiba and Trinidad offerings to hawk at retail cost as the "pairing"

After some back & forth they have confirmed that this includes a cigar which pairs with the drinks given on arrival. No information on what cigar it would be I'm afraid.

Some info on the cigar club below at Gaucho Hampstead:

Arrival time: 6:30PM
Cigar: Monte Cristo No. 4
Spirit tasting: Zacapa 23 Rum
Wine: a taster to be selected on the night by Gabriel the host

Also, the terrace will remain available for more drinks & cigars, or dining if you wish

Does this seem reasonable for the £42 asking price? I've obviously had neither the Monty or the rum before

Monte 4 is a nice cigar, provided it has some age, a Zacapa if a good rum. Seems like a reasonable offering.

No, Gaucho is a chain of steak restaurants. Not the beloved hangout of the show biz fraternity that has been shut down for unspecified inappropriate going's on.
