True but if we are meeting at 11 and going into the evening we might want to start slow? I really dont mind but it did work well last year.

Always up for a good pub crawl though!

The other side of Oxford Street. No one thought of 1a St James? Robert the manager is a forum member.

          O ok ...

We went last year...if I'm honest didn't enjoy it too much in there....was too smokey for my liking compared to JJ. Either way I don't mind visiting any lounge...was a great experience and day out last year.

That's because I was there. Unique experience.

I have been to JJ Foxes since the conversion/uograde or 1A St James. I am guessing the later wouldn't be too smokey so early in the day? I certainly don't mind meeting at JJ's for a hr or so & a short smoke (I have heard of people taking a hip flask in) but I really need to drink with my cigars so perhaps we can move on after while to somewhere else & keep everyone updated where we are so those arriving later know where to go?

I too need to drink with my cigars but previously when I've been to JJ Fox I have picked up a large latte from Cafe Nero at the top of St James's on Piccadilly

I'm happy to go anywhere that I'm not being charged excessive amounts of money for drinks that I don't drink.

I'd agree with that, it's bad enough paying ?5-6 for a bottle of beer, let alone paying loads for a Coke. If we meet up at JJ Fox, for those who can arrive early 11:00'sh, with Our Nero coffee ;o) I suggest for lunch we move on to somewhere we can eat lunch & then smoke after. Guessing eating en-route e.g. a pub would be cheaper than eating at a cigar bar but suggestions from those with local knowledge welcome.

Anyone been to The Stafford London? Apparently they have a bar which is supposed to be a nice out door area to enjoy a cigar?

I was looking online an review etc.

Located in the heart of St James’s, The Stafford has an air of timelessness, where elegance and tradition create a haven of calm away from London’s busy streets.

We did the research so that you don't have to. James J.Fox and Cigar Terrace are on the list. See what other places made the cut.

The Stafford is good, although I last visited 'pre-cigars' for me. From memory, they have the famous American bar dating from WW2 which opens-up onto the courtyard, so, with that connection, they probably see more than the odd cigar there. Worth a look I would think.
