I shall be staying in a fine 4* hotel, the same one I stayed at when we did the first walk HERF...Can't remember the name, will ask Mrs CIV. Was ?115 for the night thru laterooms.com..

Ok so we're still looking at the 19th September.

We can do two of the following things at the venue Nic has kindly found.

1) Reserve tables at the http://www.doggettscoatandbadge.co.uk/ and try to grab outside seats when possible...

2) Get, at minimum, 30 of us together to club ?7 each to hire out the Terrace Bar. This would the most ideal thing to do one feels!


What I need now is confirmation of who would like to do number 2, as soon as possible. I suspect we won't get enough people and will have to then look at an alternative, but it's worth putting it out there as it's a great venue.

And this time we will do the full walk all the way to the Churchill Museum Cabinet War rooms where I am looking to do some kind of deal for all of us so I hope that even those who did the walk before will join us at either the Red Lion in Crown Passage (for lunch) or at JJ Fox and Robert Lewis for the last 30 minutes walk down to Horseguards Parade.
