Yo, who is actually interested in coming to this and what do you want as regards distillery tour?

You want me to find a few we can cram into one day or would you prefer a special one and take our time with it?

Any preference for the distillery, anyone got a favourite whisky that's made in the area?

I'm definitely interested in coming up for this. Our baby is due end of feb / begining of March, so if its then, I'm going to have to miss it.... I mean, I'm sure the Mrs will understand, its not everyday you get to Herf in Aberdeen and the baby will still be there when I get back!

In all seriousness, I would love to come if its a bit later, say April onwards, I'm sure I can get away for a day or two.

Are you fleeing South before the SNP win the election?

Actually planning on heading north in to the wilderness where I can afford a decent size house rather than pay 120k for a one bed flat in Aberdeen!

60 miles in any direction (except due east) will get a 3 bedroom decent sized detached house for the same money!

I actually laughed out loud at the idea of ?160k being a lot of money for a flat!

Hey man, I'm heading up to Aberdeen tomorrow for a couple of days, how is CASK? Does it have a decent smoking area? I'll be driving so thanks to the new laws won't be having more than the one drink.

I've never heard of cask until now, probably because I moved out of Aberdeen a few years ago and now live in surrey so can completely understand PeeJay's point.

Also, obviously more than happy for you to come along, probably gonna head in on Tuesday, might even coerce my brother to drive me It's a lonely world smoking alone!

You wanna head down my way Wigan. The property gets cheaper the further south you go. Comparatively I paid a 3rd for what my house would have cost in Aberdeen.

I'm pretty busy with work & life for the next month or so but I'm always up for a rendezvous provided I have the time.

I don't think the smoking area is built yet but its still worth a look in the walk in humidor. Unfortunately I am on back shift this week so couldn't meet you in an evening. Is it an over night stay in Aberdeen?

Yeah it's not ideal actually, shame. However, my folks are up here so I pop up every couple of months, maybe next time? Assuming you haven't moved up north by then, when you thinking of going?
