Location: The Portsmouth Arms Pub, Hatch Warren Lane, Basingstoke, Hampshire RG22 4RA

As you look at the pub from the car park there is a 'smoking' area with tables under cover on the right hand side of the building. This area also keeps the sun longer towards the end of the afternoon. Great ales and the food is OK for those who fancy it.

I will be there around 2pm, drinking ale, so hope to see some of your guys there. More the merrier.

Right this is what I'd like to do, I'd like to arrange another Herf for the weekend of the 16th and 17th august. Sorry I can't make this one but if anyone is free for a casual meet up on that weekend respond here. I'm thinking here in reading at a secret cigar terrace I know of. I guarantee you will like it but this is an evening affair so be prepared for trains home etc. John if you come I expect you will drive anyway. If this isn't any good for any of you then I'll start a thread with dates.
