I have posted enough pictures so here is some info.

A really great night, many thanks to Ajay and Stefan for putting it on. att least 6 bottles of premium and rare rum and several bottles of whiskey (15 of us, 5 driving, you do the maths )

Being at Ajays all the cigars you can imagine ...basically God's stash.

The main cigar of the night was a '90 or '91 Partagas Lusi (from 50 cabs). these were very well received with most opinion pointing towards the '91 as the better smoke.

The pictures include the 'Holy trinity' of rare humidors: 1492, 125th and 1994 HSA editions. Almost unheard of as an intact set, let alone anyone brave/generous/stupid enough to get them out in-front of us. These will be sold as a set at some point and will go for 6 figures!

The Davidoffs in the Le Hoyo box have been verified as authentic, it was first opened and the Davidoff banded cigars were discovered inside. This is additional proof that Cuban Davidoffs were in fact from the Le Hoyo range with different bands/boxes. Amazing the difference a band/box makes to ones perception (and the price!).

        I smoked/tried

'99 LGC no3 ...first from a box of 10 I was gifted at xmas ....bloody great, gave one to Ajay who concurred.
'97 Hoyo DC from a 50 cab ...another xmas gift ...stunning, great construction, perfect draw, sweet, almonds, toast, if only HDC's were like this now
PGR ...does what it says on the tin. High-end, premium Lusi, great construction, true to the blend and ready to smoke now
'90 Lusi - leather, tobacco, loads of power
        '91 Lusi - as above

What a great evening, got home at 0230hrs.

That looked a superb evening, thanks for the pics

Nice info on Davidoff, explains why I like them, as Hoyo is one of my favourite brands too.

Too right TJ, OK found them now, guess I wasn't following this thread so closely as I knew I couldn't attend. Now I have seen the photos, realise another excellent herf missed. Still April's not so far... Well done Stephen for geting the ball rolling with this one.
