I thought there might have been a misunderstanding too, but when my enquiry following the ban/deletion went unanswered I decided to just lurk on another account rather than contribute. My banned account was under the name foad.

Sorry Rexam, I don't see every post. But should've tracked this thread! Btw, I definitely didn't receive an enquiry email from you - I've looked through my UKCF mail account and there's nothing there?

Right I see foad is banned and there is no useful reason attributable to it. My guess is that you joined at the peak of the trolling activity we were getting and were accidentally hit by an over zealous admin - I've deleted a user too and had an earful, but managed to save it and he re-joined ! I can only apologise and presume it was a mistake.

Hopefully you'll continue to post and not take it personally!

I was around during what seemed to me to be a lot of trolling and I figured at the time I was blanket-banned with all recently created accounts as a result. No idea why you didn't receive my enquiry, I sent it through the 'contact us' form on the website. These things happen.

To be clear, does this mean my old user account can't be reinstated?

Edit: Ah I see why. I wonder if I can merge them. I can at the very least bump your current post count up? Or would you prefer to be foad?

I don't mind what name I use really. I'm not chasing post count so much as the content of the posts, partly for stuff like the introduction posts etc and partly as a record for me of the evolution of my interest in cigars over time.
