  • Flor de San Luis Tasting (Nicaragua's coolest cigar)

Hi I thought this might appeal to you,

We are holding a launch of our new Robusto cigar from our Fleur de San Luis range of cigars at Boisdales Belgravia this coming Monday (23/4).

We will be providing Hennessy, Grande Champagne, Cognac, 1982 and Hine, Grande Champagne, Cognac, (Landed 1988 Bottled 2006) to go with our fabulous Flor de San Luis Cigars. Goody bags as well!

    Please see link below:

    www.boisdale.co.uk/belgravia/events/view/313

There are only 25 people coming and I suspect only 5 or 6 places left, it'll be great fun and a wonderful experience. If you would like to attend, Bookings with Alexandria Wood / 020 7730 6922 alexandria@boisdale.co.uk

    Best regards

How are the blends? I've heard about these but normally stay clear of Nicaraguan ciagrs due to the tendency for companies to stuff them full of ligero.

It rely is a lovely cigar, but I'd be bias as im partners with the posted above. It's a rely unquie blend using both Cuban and Nicaraguan leaf and we have had nothing but praise hence boisdale stocking them and offering their venue for our tasting. I'm hoping to gift some out on the forum after the event for thos who are interested, so let me know if you are captainQuintero and thanks for the interest.

Yeah I was reading about the founder being the nephew of Don Robaina the day before yesterday! I saw Gauntley's stock them also and I always bow down to Glynn the manager's huge tobacco knowledge and how he rates cigars, if he stocks it then it's for a good reason.

I'd love to try some thankyou very much! I'd video review it if you wish. As long as you don't gift me any stick that blows my head off and I have to end up sitting in a dark room *cough Padron 1964 anni serie exclusivo cough*

I've got a great cigar collection - it's actually not a collection, because that would imply I wasn't going to smoke every last one of 'em.

Yes thats right, during his last 5 years, he helped perfect the brand. That would be very kind of you to do a video review and i can assure you your head will stay on.

Also thank you everyone for the support. I will let you all know how it goes.

Just got back down to the West Country after the cigar tasting at Boisdale. Which was a very enjoyable evening. We had around 25 people turn up to sample the Flor de San Luis Robusto which smoked beautiful. Also received some lovely feedback on the cigars and their unique Cuban/Nicaraguan blend. Being our first event it was a fantastic experience and learning curve. We are now looking forward to our next cigar tasting.

I will also organise gifting some of the Robusto.

Glad it went well mate! Will they only be available at certain places or will they be easily available everywhere? Glad the feedback was positive!

Nice to hear the event went well and I'm also interested to read some reviews/thoughts of those that sampled.

Thanks chaps. At the moment it’s a bit limited. You can get them at Boisdales and through Cigar club. But it is still early days. There has been a lot of interest so hopefully it shouldn’t be too long till we are in more cigar merchants.

Not sure if anyone from here was at the tasting. But if they were I’d love to hear their thoughts.

I got the email from Cigar Club about these - I would liked to have made it down yesterday to sample these, but work gets in the way.... I'd be interested in peoples thoughts on these
