Birmingham herf - Sat March 24th

Just a quick reminder about this weekends Herf at 'The Prince' in Birmingham.

Kick off is scheduled for around 3pm till late.

For those new to the 'Prince'..
Keith (the landlord) has an excellent selection of cigars (both Cuban and N.C's) housed in a purpose built cigar lounge.
A large, heated outdoor terrace is also available and there are a variety of bars serving all kinds of liquid refreshment.
Food can be ordered from a number of local take-aways (and delivered direct to your table).

All like-minded 'Brothers of the leaf' welcome.

(Think of it as a pre 'Big Smoke' training session)

The other thing we can do is organise another herf later in the summer, just for forum members. Alternatively there's already a herf here on Saturday 24th March, organised by El Cat. I am sure he wouldn't mind a few more cigar fans.

Is it appropriate to bring a Giraffe to the Hurf, I walways like to travel with them as they're so damn smart.

Oh yes, what's the dress code? Shall be coming probably by bike for the laugh and stay over night.

An excellent question..
Generally, the people of the Midlands have a tolerant attitude to members of the 'Giraffe' family, and many can be found frequenting their Public Houses.. However, it's worth noting that some height restrictions may apply.
Also.. the sight of a 20" tongue has been known to provoke a frenzied reaction in some of the womenfolk.

P.S. Dress code casual..
(Fake fur and feather boas permitted).

...so you didn't put a post up about the herf that you 'organised'.

Kind of gives the impression it was your thing but clearly no general invite was extended by you and no specific post was put up. Call me English but I only rsvp to things I am actually invited to.

It is all good and I have no worries but there is comes across a bit unusual (to me) to put out a reminder for something you never put out.

Although the pizza ( or not ) offer is very tempting, I too will be unable to join in the fun.

To clear up any confusion though, dates for a suggested herf were discussed with Keith back in Feb.. who then kindly posted the details after one had been picked (with me as the contact).

In hindsight, I should've checked and possibly started a new thread, but.. hey, that's hindsight for you.
