A few of us based in and around Hertfordshire have shown interest in meeting up for a bit of a smoke. Anyone who is interested, let me know and I'll try to sort something out. I have two locations in mind. The first is The Chequers pub in Redbourn which has a nice big and mostly covered garden area, the second is a pub in Codicote village (near Welwyn) that I can't remember the name of but has a nice little garden and is a proper pub but it would be reliant on good weather. Let me know of any preferences re. location etc. I'm thinking mid-end of september but am flexible.

I for one would be well up for this... back end of Sept sounds grand. Could easily manage after work as both locations you mention are nicely through the lanes from Luton airport where I work.

Right, work has been frantic recently but I'm back on this now. How does Friday 30th Sept work for everyone? Regarding location would people prefer it was somewhere close to public transport links or somewhere more out of town that would require driving/taxis?

I should be up for this - Fri 30th seems free in my diary at the moment, and I'm easy about the location - anywhere you've mentioned won't be too far to drive from Bedford. If it's near a train station and I can have a drink or two I won't complain though
