Just fired up a Romeo Petit Coronas - lit well, even burn so far although a slightly tightish draw. Creamy mouthfuls of mild smoke. Not sure if the caramel flavour is from the cigar or the Innis & Gunn 77 day beer accompanying it. All in all, not a terrible way to end the day, methinks...
              Steve

              **EDIT
Half-way in now and the burn's gone ragged...if I'm not careful I'm gonna over do the touch-up...fuller body to the flavour too.

              **EDIT
Died in the last third - very bitter taste on lips...couldn't straighten up the burn either.

Bolivar Gold Medal for me. Gorgeous, but how thick are the wrappers on these things? I swear they are so oily that they just don't burn. For a smaller gauge cigar, I'm surprised that every single one I've had has burnt really inconsistently. An '08 box too...

Think you have been unlucky there Dave, not had a problem with burn on the GM's myself.
Coming through London on a rather damp, cool day, stopped off at Boisdales (Belgravia) for a H.Upmann Connie No1. Pick this up couple of yrs ago in Hamburg, after having a great one there. This one was also good but had a loose draw from the outset (glad I punched it, clipped it would have seemed worse), and it did feel rather spongy & underfilled. Unusual for this brand in my experience.
