hey all,
after a long day running about with my son, i 'retired' myself with one of my last trinidad reyes and a couple of hefty southern comforts on the rocks!!! apologies for getting all poetic and all, but i watched all my troubles and woes dissipate towards the crescent moon in the night sky through the fug of cuban smoke.......

Had a Por Larranga Short Corona at lunch time, nice way to spend the lunch hour at work.

How was the 56?

The 56

It was no doubt excellent cigar. So smooth during the first half almost a bit dissapointed but after the 1/2 marks came v creamy n complex flavored. Dark chocolate, cream, sweet spices. The lastthird reminds me of a party 4 but a super smooth version of it. Barnyard n dark roasted honey on the nose all the way, v attractive. Smoke isn't dense at all. Medium body smoke all the way. The ring guague is a turn off for me.

It's from a v good friend so it's free.

Would I buy some? Hm........probably not. May be 52, certainly not the 56, I just can't handle the RG. Lovely smoke, but it doesn't have any of those rustic flavor I look for in my dream cigar. The lanceros does tho!

Don't get me wrong, it's a great cigar ! Its One v special cigar to me! But I would choose lanceros over it any time!
