Changed my mind when I opened my box from a Petit Edmundo to a Partagas D4.
I have to say that this bitch was incredibly smooth-smoking, and it has to be due to the power of the beads. My humidity has settled at just above 70, and the smoke chucked out by the stick was worthy of a 999 call just now. No re-light required. Enhanced flavour and a burn that was slow and steady down to the last centimetre. I'd have burnt my fingers if I'd gone any further.
So... A great smoke - that goes without saying - taken up a notch by the swollen Tampax effect.

I know it's Sunday now, but I don't care.
I've just finished the last night of the play, had two drinks and a curry and I'm back home sitting in the porch with a Hendricks and (Schweppes) tonic, and a Partagas Serie P No. 2. I'm about half an inch into it and this is gearing up to be a spectacular smoke. My first torpedo, for the record. Will check back in when I'm done...

What are you still doing up Bryan!?
Reporting back anyway...
I really hope my experience isn't coloured by my evening or any other influences, because that cigar was astounding.
Every puff added to the last in flavour, continuously building and evolving. Draw was PERFECT. Burn needed a couple of touch-ups with the torch in the first third, but settled down soon after, fixing itself when uneven after that. I am unable to provide a taste description due to my inexperience but in all probability it would have taken several hundred words written down. Didn't smoke it right to the fingers but given how it was up to there I have no problem with that.
I'm in love. I'm gutted it lasted only about an hour. This is a definite box purchase for me. Will be investigating more piramides too!
[EDIT] Also a little surprised by the nicotine kick. Caught me off-guard about three-fifths in, though I suspect the booze had a part to play...
[EDIT2] If aging works how I think it does, ie. takes the spicy edge off, then these will be even better in a few years.Last edited by daverave999; 22-03-2009, 03:02 AM.

This is truly the business of love we are in, Raver.
And gss - the weather helps!
Had a great Petit Edmundo after coming home from some mates. Even had enough "courage" to show them that stupid video I made with my son. I'm beginning not to care a damn about what other people - other non-smoking people - think about stogie love. I guess the love of Edmundo has kept me out of the conjugal container sack.
Good night, all.
