Just had a RyJ Short Churchill and it was fantastic, all cocoa and raisins. Maybe the most flavourful RyJ I've ever had, was it a freak one off?

Not sure about it being a "one off". I had a 10 box that were like you described, not necesarily all cocoa & raisins but definately lacking in the spicyness you would equate with the newer RyJ profiles & especially the short.
I like them all, not had a really bad one yet.

I think in the past I've just found RyJ in gerenal to lack big hitting flavours and this stick really delivered.

An upmann coronas junior in the garden with uncle on holiday from Vancouver and cousin back from attempt to retire in Perth. Surprisingly good for a waitrose tubo.
Generous uncle came laden with gifts for the wife and kids and 5 monte petit tubos for lucky me!
