I am holiday from work and it is my 52nd birthday today.

I decided to have a cigar fest of my own while my wife and my younger son are at work.

If I wrote my feelings about this on Facebook, my non-cigar friends would think I was weird. I'm glad we can come on here to talk at times!

As it is, I'm lubing up my non-cigar friends all the time these days with cigar-related stuff.

CAO SOPRANOS - TONY SOPRANO LIMITED EDITION
6" and 60 ring gauge Nicaraguan cigar

And what a stunning cigar! Sent by a good friend, I would never have chosen this myself. I downloaded Godfather II to watch and the cigar travelled with me for three hours! It certainly wasn't the Cuban taste I crave, and it did that frequent NC thing of having exactly the same taste at the start as at the finish. It had that background 'grey mouth' NC taste BUT it wasn't overpoweringly yuk or sickly sweet. Looks the business to hold / brandish / threaten (the dog). I'd go again with one of these as the ash was firm, the draw was tight and it didn't go out once. One of the nicest NC experiences ever.

    MONTECRISTO PETIT EDMUNDO
My wife bought me a box of these. I've rediscovered them recently and am in love with them. I'm typing ten minutes after lighting one. The smell from the match light is as close as sexually arousing as a smell can be. That after the foreplay of touch, smell, sight and finger clutch pre-light. God I love the cigar game! I can smell this cigar whilst drawing on it in a way that I couldn't with the Soprano earlier. This is strong, pungent Cuban tobacco on the go and the smoke hangs and curls in a totally different way. On good days I think of cigars as mistresses. They offer you so much and you watch after them and care for them. I'm turning into Baudelaire here. I'm in for a good night!

I continue to think of men - men more than women - who don't 'get' cigars as men who are missing so so much in life. And I continue to think of any woman who takes to the habit as a high priestess.

Excuse me waffling but today is a totally relaxed day and I am deeply in love with my cigars.

    I love em.

    Swiss Tony x
    (but truly from Bryan's heart).

    Happy Birthday.

Never tried the CAO to be honest, but I will certainly keep an eye out for them in future. Glad to see you are enjoying your smokes and chilling out mate.

Happy Birthday to you as well.

Happy Birthday indeed, Swiss Tony, lol, brilliant, more of a Rowley Birkin QC, myself.

Tried 1 of the vintage GOLOFINA'S today, pleasant enough in its own right, but the difference between CC's and NC's is most apparent to me now, feel like the vintage Romeo No 2 yesterday was in a completely different league to today's smoke.

Not a time I often smoke but a SP Belicosis was a great success after a brunch, with friends.
