  • Thursday 21st October: Trafalgar Day

In honour of the Battle of Trafalgar, a crushing victory for the British Fleet off Cadiz which signalled the slow collapse of Napoleon's regime, I decided to have a small celebratory cigar. It was sunny, but a little nippy, so I went for a Trini Reyes. Great cigar.

A toast (with cigar or drink): "The Immortal Memory of Lord Nelson and those who fell with him."

PS. What was actually said at the end of the battle onboard Victory:

"Damn the French and Spanish to buggery! First they take my eye, then my arm, and now they've bloody shot me!"

The version of events that didn't make the press...

A Siglo IV and a quad espresso, as a reward for spending 12 hours converting bitmap images into vectors by hand. (geeky but bloody hard work, and for those in the know, I didn't use live trace!)

La Gloria Cubana Medaille No.3 with coffee.
First time smoking one of these....not bad.
A little mild for me...but overall it was a nice cigar.

A tot of Pussers Navy Rum, a RP 1992 Churchill and a good wipe of my bottom with the French flag. If you think I am kidding......
"In Italy for 30 years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed, but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and the Renaissance. In Switzerland they had brotherly love, they had 500 years of democracy and peace, and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock!"

Had a very nice Jose L Cazadores this morning sat in the park, frost on the grass as the dog sniffed for foxes

This evening some whiskey and a Partagas P2 then some rum to finish off.

This was technically yesterday, but I had a nice sit down with my first Mag 50 from a Shuckins bomb. Very nice, long smoke there, and I'd been looking forward to trying it for some time. Ultimately, I'd say I like the 46's more, but I'm more than open to smoking a few more to be sure.
