True to form I couldn't wait for the wind & rain to pass so I ventured out to the deck to fire up my new acquisition. Wonky burn (but that could be due to the wind) and not terrible but I've had better for a similar price so probably won't order again in a hurry, although am interested to see if it would smooth out a bit more with some down time. Mild cigar so not a huge amount to offer even if it did.

I'm not big on "pairing" as I find cigars mute most drinks. I do however like a drink and a cigar.
Negroni comes to mind, lose a lot of the bitterness. Tend to find Lemon/Lime/Yuzu cocktails stand up best out of all drinks, Gimlets, Margarita, Last Word.
Sparkling wine is good with a cigar but not if you want to taste the wine.

Was listening to the Lounge Lizards recently talking about Ruinart pairing and how some champagnes can cut through a cigar better/more than others. But yeah probably best to try a premium drink _before_ the cigar to check it out ๐

I'm sure the French would deride us for smoking with such a fine cognac!
