Apologies for not posting yesterday but it was a long day & a late night. Anyway, a great time was had on the 42nd anniversary of the Falkland's Liberation Day.
I travelled to Warminster to met Zak, who was the Asst Pusser on the Uganda, Alison, who I have known since we were 10yo at Junior school. She then went to the grammar school & I to the Secondry Modern. We met up again at college, both on the Pre Nursing course. I then made the mistake of inviting her to work for my father, behind the Deli counter with me. The only time we ever argued!
Later she went to Oz for a yr, got married & spent yrs there, in South Africa & much later back in the UK. When I was down South, she wrote me several letters, so important for morale.
That morning I had mentioned on a FB, I was going there & a former Welsh Guard got in contact & joined us, great to met Pete.
When Alison & Pete left, Zak & I nipped out & I smoked a ERDM DT, tragically we were talking so much I forgot to take a pic!
A wonderful, uplifting day.
