Had a quick smoke ashore today. I never found a Quintero I ever liked but as I hadn't tried one for 20yrs+, I gave this newer vitola a go, the Petit.

Nice format, would be a popular size but bits in the mouth, reminded me it's a short filler. Which, it turns out is the only thing it has in common with the RGPX, which I love.

The flav was roughr than a badgers arse & my mouth felt like that, when I put it down about halfway in, see past pic.

It'll be more than 29yrs before I try another Quintero.

The Quintero robusto is a great smoke Simon. Cheap but very cheerful

            898. What a cigar. I haven't seen them for 2 or 3 years. I hope they're not discontinued 😪

I'm a good 4 years in to search for a non obscene priced box or 3 and it has not gone well

A few years ago I got a hint that they were getting scarcer so I bought as many as I could. I even paid UK prices for them because that was the only place left in the world that had any. I felt mental for paying UK prices but turns out it was a great decision. They were around 20 quid each at the time. You can't find them anywhere now. Definitely my favourite Partagas

Given your new discovery of the NW I understand. This is quite a robust cigar especially when fresh. I prefer them well aged.

I think I may finally have this CAD under control...

For me still can't quite meet the Lusi, but they are a commitment

Still have a dozen 898s in my 2008 box. Wasn't really that impressed compared to the lusi. Might be a sale there somewhere!

I'm the same, never really got on with the 898, shame as I like the size, Lusi is my favourite cigar current production.
