I was going to celebrate the end of the year with the cigar of the year which coincidentally is my all time favourite; the Reserva d'Chateau, but when I dug into my Opus humidor I discovered this unwrapped double corona had a light dusting of mould on the cap so I dusted it off and smoked this instead.

I punched this 2020 PL Galanes but the draw seemed too tight so it went in to a spare HdM Epi 2 tubo for a few months. Couple of V cuts and it’s been superb tonight. Happy New Year! IMG_6603.jpg IMG_6602.jpg
I managed 2 smokes today, first, my first LGC ER Especiales, picked up on my last trip to Belgie. Paired with a wee coffee & then a glass of bubbly. Very tasty cigar & anyone who enjoys this marca & skinny formats, will love this. Really hope my sources manage to acquire a box or two for me. It seems they are really controlling the release, by drip feeding them to the shops.
Secondly, waiting for daughter & BF to arrive, a Cohiba Robusto 2015, with 2017 late bottled port. This was still a full flav smoke, with a decent kick.
After dinner, where my wife produced a Beef Wellington, which I paired with a very splendid claret from 2007.
