Cheers Neil! I have 3 days off this week since I worked 11 days in a row with only one day off in between. On top of that I'm working 12 hour days now. What did I get myself into, I'm too old for that! Haha!

Don't have the code or date but it's pre 2006 since it comes without a band. Probably from the 90s as it has that taste that you only get in pre 2000 cigars.

When I reached the second row of this box last year I saw that the cigar next to the right edge had two splits in the wrapper. Nothing that some cigar glue can’t fix. It’s smoking great.

Just over five years ago I was lucky enough to go on a cruise to Bermuda. On the quay was a stall selling overpriced Cubans and these Bermudan cigars so I bought this 'Wild Hog' (no guessing the target audience) which I intended to smoke in port to see if I wanted any more. When I opened it the smell of ammonia was so strong I felt it could be a fire risk to light it. So five years later, the ammonia smell has gone completely leaving what tasted to me like a regular Nicaraguan cigar that had been re-banded. If you're lucky enough to find yourself there too one day you have been warned.

They’re still evolving Steve - I think they are ok. They seem to hint at promising good things/more depth of flavour, but that doesn’t quite seem to materialise. I don’t know if they just need more time down.
