I’m a Partagas fan, but strangely I’ve never tried the Maduro. What are they like?
They are pretty nice, good construction with flavours of sweet wood and nut, and a little chocolate, probably need another 6 months to fully draw out the flavours.
I only heard of Kraken rum yesterday. Does it go well with cigars? Why is it called 'black' and what are the spices?
It’s definitely a mixing rum, it’s alright with coke but a bit sweet for my taste.
Black depends on who’s selling it, sometimes is heavily aged dark rum but usually it’s a way of hinting at age without it having much.
Can’t remember the spices off the top of my head.
That sounds a bit damning as I’ve definitely drunk a few bottles over the years with a mixer
