Birthday smoke for me. Plasencia Alma Fuerte Solomon. Thankfully I wasnt disappointed, probably the most expensive, but definitely the nicest cigar I've smoked so far... Delicious (what I would call) dark flavours, Oak woodiness, coffee, chocolate, leather, with some sweetness thrown in as well, more earthy towards the final third. Lovely and smooth all the way down with just the right amount of pepper.
The first of this box, but already thinking I may have to buy another...

Sounds delicious, I've had the Alma Fuego but want to try a Fuerte, think I might start on the Robusto tho, this and the Hexagon might be too much at first. And congrats!
Happpppy birthday Kern! After taking wife & daughter oit for luncheon, I went to the cafe to smoke on the last day they are open, starting a months lock down in 🇧🇪 tomorrow for Restaurants & cafes. A CE 2008, from the Tippex collection. A mighty fine cigar, just fitting for the occasion (daughter's 28th b/d.

I can't really comment on the nicotine, being an ex smoker and current ecig user, but it certainly didnt seem as powerful as you might expect. These have been sitting in my humidor about 6 months and it was one of the smoothest cigars I've had, despite the appearance. Being NC theres no way of knowing its 'true age', but apparently the tobacco is aged about 10 years anyway.
I was expecting something much more powerful, but it was more the rich flavours, rather than just being a full bodied pepper bomb, so the bigger vitola may be worth the risk after a meal or with a sugary drink to hand :P
Happy Birthday kern47, I am having a Bolivar MC tonight - ended up ditching this as it tunnelled badly only smoked half of it. The Quesada 40th was much better

Thanks for that, might still go Robusto as the price is nicer and I don't want a long smoke come Nov/Dec when I will smoke it, plus I imagine the flavour profile will be consistent thru their vitolas.

Yeah a fair point, I justified the cost of a box of these with the added value of the ashtray that comes with them 😂 that and I told myself they'd only be for special occasions so last a good number of years. But I imagine the Robustos are just as good using the same tobacco
