After almost 6 weeks in bed resting my leg I'm a free man!! Sort of.
Had an ultrasound earlier this week and it showed the achilles has just (barely) reattached, which is great news. Went to see the specialist the following day, endured some minor medieval torture moves, and was told I could begin partial weight bearing (20-30%) with crutches.
The weather allowed a visit to the garden this morning and I took full advantage. Smoked an ERDM DT 2013 courtesy of Simon Bolivar My first experience with one of these wasn't the best, but it was new. The ageing has definitely helped and it was an enjoyable short smoke to bring me back into the fold.
Not sure where you're all finding this weather, but I've been moved into the garage by the rain.
Still, a rather pleasant 2014 Monte 4. A first for me and, despite the setting, a pretty decent smoke. More spice than I was expecting from a 6 year old cigar.

Oh, its gone now, and the heating is on, British weather at its finest. And no more sun the next few days it looks like.
Tried one of the new Capitols tonight. The wrapper smelled fantastic. Build and burn was perfect. Lots of lovely Partagas flavour that reminded me of the Aristocrat more than anything bigger, slightly spicy but this tasted like a cigar that is going to improve with age. Those who bought them will enjoy them and they're smokeable now.
Speaking of the Capitols, smoked this baby for lunch today. Partagas P898 Jun 20 fresh from the furnace.
Damn this is good, quality is outstanding, wrapper is smooth, good tight roll, and flavours that exactly reminded me of the Capitols I smoked a few weeks back.
Buy 20’s if you can find them😎

Glad to hear you enjoyed the DT & of course, even better to hear you're on the mend max.
