You wouldn't want to accidentally burn a hole in the balloon either!

I used to fly and retrieve them years ago - the crown (top) of the balloon gets so hot you could boil a kettle on it and fry your eggs for breakfast. The weight of air in the balloon is somewhere between 3 and 6 tons when fully inflated -
