Petit Quintero, never a complaint for the price.

I started the day with a Fonseca No.1 courtesy of simwells - This was a very rough and veiny wrapper, which was intriguing. The cigar was sadly overfilled and an incredibly tight draw, although I didn't notice any great flavours coming through. I forgot to take a photo! I'm still happy I've added another marca to my list! I'll revisit again in the future.

My second cigar was my first Ramon Allones and it was a RASC. I noticed the wrapper was very light in colour and the profile matched the wrapper. It was a very light smoke, which surprised me as I expected to experience a lot more strength based on reviews. It wasn't good or bad, another to revisit!

Another Bespoke offering courtesy of Vitola. It’s good, but I prefer the lancero!

Seems to be a hot topic at the moment, what did you think of it?

Following Al and retrying the LGC Invictos. Better but still a couple of years to go I believe. I still hate the montesco size😎

Think you were unlucky there Max, should be a wee spice bomb, hope your next is more representative of this fine vitola.

                          Here were my final impressions:

This has good potential. Nice level of complexity within the flavour profile. Easy to smoke, nice strength level and no harshness, despite its youth. Glimpses of the Ramon Allones profile are apparent however, needs time to integrate and find the balance between savoury and sweet flavour notes. Will benefit from time in slumber to come together. Has the pedigree to evolve into something special. Will acquire when available at a decent price. Worth seeking out.

Agreed Simon. The RASCCal is usually a cracking cigar.... Must get some. It's been a few years.
