Today I had my first mini herf with Simon Bolivar - he had travelled up from Bournemouth for the day. I picked him up at the station and took him back to casa Vitola. Well it's been a sweltering 35C today so instead we decided to herf in the relative comfort of the log cabin with air con' blaring away at a balmy 22C.
First up was a rather special ERDM Elegantes or Panetelas Largas provided by Simon (I am sure Simon will point out the correct one
) - absolutely sublime smoke it was along with coffee and just water.
Then we lit up just before lunch with a great little Mag 48 to have with beer. After lunch Cold meats and cheese; followed by Bassa Fillet with Chilli & Ginger and Chocolate cheesecake with cream - accompanied by a gorgeous 6 year old red wine provided by my good friend; we had a real treat with a Trinidad Fundadore - now that was something special.
It was really great to meet you Simon, you now hold the record as the first person I have met up with from UKCF - and thanks for the gifted 2003 RyJ Churchill - I look forward to smoking that one real soon!You do not have permission to view this gallery.
