This is what's always surprised me about how popular they've become, isn't the D4 the worlds biggest seller now?
Considering they really aren't smokable for a good few years then become very very good this seems odd. Unless the vast majority of smokes are really bought by people that know what they're doing!

I think you also need to take account of the production year. Certainly most recent 2019 production year does appear to be a better production year generally for Cuba

To be honest - with early D4’s I had a couple of tubos and a couple of singles as samplers but I’ve no idea if they were really young or had a few years on them, but I loved them from the off. They certainly stand up against a 2014 box I am working my way through - which suggests my early ones already had legs on them. I will have to try one from a 2018 box and see?
