Lovely clear sky up here this morning, although it is still a little bit chilly. Sitting in the garden with the HDM EP Especial and a strong Coffee.
Bliss.

This is really bloody nice, there's an aged creaminess I haven't found in bolivars before.
I think maybe my cigar balls have dropped and I'm ditching hoyo for bolivar
Beautiful day, terrible cigar.
Had a RYJ short churchill earlier on, poor construction and appearance, appaulingly diabolical burn, not much flavour, ended up slinging it about half way.
Thats the chance you take buying cigars online i guess, should of went into town and hand picked one instead...... a bad experience is never forgotten.
How bizarre is that ? I'm just sat with HairyDave with a brace of 1990 Boli CEs too Got them at JJ Foxs last week at the Herf. Getting dried apricots in the first third ...
Had a PL Valiosos this afternoon (not as nice as the last one, might be in a mini-dip ?) and a lovely young Party D4
That would be a boli from the same cab then! The last 3rd didn't deliver the promise given by the first third!
Then went to davidoffs to pick up a tin of rattrays old gowrie pipe tobacco recommended to me by a great white bearded fisherman who's blind in one eye.
Then met stephan in Manchester street to exchange cigars.
Spot on choice: Two german RE bolivars (109 & 5th avenue, on the day I realise I'm a big style bolivar convert)
Rey del mundo grandes de espana
Gonzalez Lonsdale (first Gonzalez) and a trinidad ingenios which I smoked there and then. Intriguing smoke, trini cream in 1st third similar to fundadores, then stronger maduro tones, spice and sweetness. Very nice but fundadores still comes out top.
Then finished with a party p2 tubed, cedar start, lovely.
Very enjoyable evening overall! Cheers stephan!
