I think this was one of the ones you sent me before. Tasty!
For me, the first Choix Supreme from a new box. I was out with m'lady on a waterfall walk-got a bit lost at one point and had to double back adding several hours to the walk. Ended up doing about 12 miles in total, half of that through sludge!
Had a Duke in the end. Instant hit of coffee and chocolate notes which were extremely consistent throughout the entire smoke - not to mention entirely pleasant! Evolved towards leather, spices and nuts during the 2/3 and ended a little bitter. I'll forgive it: it's a young cigar.
Now I'm no expert but I can't help but think that these cigars would gain a lot from being put down for a few years. They really are a very young cigar and I think that came through particularly towards the end of the smoke. I can't help but compare it with a Bolivar RC I had on Saturday and find it left slightly wanting.
Overall? Good smoke. Not great but, good. Lots of coffee and chocolate, reasonable complexity albeit followed by a slightly disappointing finish.
