Flor de Cano Preferidos .... one of a batch of de Cano's I got in a swap with DaveRave. Very happy with it. Easy draw, sweet, sort of garden border taste. Very easy to sit and day-dream with sort of cigar. The taste was generally constant and recognisably Cuban, but did roughen and become 'powdery' in the last quarter which was when I ditched it.
If you want to, you can.
And, if you can, you must!

My first ever handmade cigar, a Montecristo Petit Tubos. From what I gather its a cherry picked no.4?

I look forward to enjoying this tonight. The only cigar Ive smoked prior to this is a machine made Henri Wintermanns Corona Deluxe which I lit with a petrol lighter (shame on me!) and smoked like a cigarette which obviously made the cigar burn.

Now that I know (somewhat better) how to smoke a cigar, I shall enjoy what will hopefully be one of many to come.

Enjoy it... It is a great experience, but it may take time to fully appreciate and enjoy them.

        A Bolivar Gold Medal

I haven't smoked one for a few months and - BOY! - it was worth waiting for.

Ever more rich and complex as I worked through it, these cigars are The Business.

What a wonderful way to relax!

Im sure it will, but as long as I can keep the smell from overwhelming the kitchen and stick to just one nice cigar a month, I might just be able to continue this hobby.

Because at the end of the day, we are almost quite literally burning money here! And as a soon to be student, this is not something I can afford to do regularly!

I must set memory to have one soon Bryan.

Anyhow, this evening I had a Punch Northern Lights RE, that was part of a swap a few 'stick a stick in' rounds ago. I'm not much good at describing the finer nuances, but it was a veiny bastard with a perfect draw and I liked it
            Thanks Alberto

Welcome to the forums moppy! I'm not a huge fan of the Montecristo range myself - but, each to their own as they say, hope you enjoyed it.

A Hoyo DC (my first) at 10 Manchester. Nice enough but a little too light for me.

On my own tonight so I took the rare opportunity to

                              a) watch a game of footy

                              b) have a midweek cigar - one of a few Rocky Patel Sungrown Robusto seconds that arrived in the office* this morning from G central. A decent enough NC smoke that didn't suffer significantly from being a second other than a slight burn problem early on that appeared to be caused by a rather prominent vein. Had a slightly unusual tang to it, remiscent perhaps (IIRC) of the old Royal Jamacans, the tobacco for which was cured using a secret family recipe.

[* = WAT, wife avoiding tactic]
