Im selecting out my smoke for later, going to go with a nicely aged partagas d4. the foot of the cigar is slightly ripped so will be a good excuse to get this one smoked. the wrapper has tured a nice golden brown shade and the smell is delicious!

The 1916 has a Cameroon wrapper in a cedar sleeve and when it comes to Cameroon wrappers you could say I'm a whore. Love 'em.
It has the same smoothness as the 1959 and smokes almost exactly the same in terms of draw, burn and construction which seem to be consistent from stick to stick in my experiences. The major flavors that I pick up in the 1916 are earth, wood (mostly cedar), nuts and a bit of spice/pepper but not in a dominant capacity. The spice is rather sweet and secondary to the core of the smoke. Good volume of smoke, clean crisp burn line, and a nice finish that lingers for a bit.
I think if you like the 1959 you will be pleased with the 1916.Trying is the first step toward failure.
