Hi Whisk, sorry for the slight thread jack, but I'm curious to hear what your thoughts are on the Trini.
I'm a recent covert to the brand (following excellent Fundadore experience), and am trying to convince myself to get some of the EL's (Ingenios?), but haven't read much about them.

Humi space is at a bit of a premium at the mo, so don't want to get a box unless other (respected) BOTL's have found them worthwhile.
Anyhow, sorry for the interruption, as you were and carry on.

just finished an Oliva V Belicoso...

After I saw CA announce this as the 5th best cigar of 09', I remembered I had one in the humi. So, I had to check it out.

It was a very nice smoke...complex, with nice evolution throughout. A medium-bodied smoke with a woody core, pleasant spice, cocoa, nutty, and hints of tea. (I know how you Brits like your tea).

This cigar definitely deserved to be on the top 25 list, but at the #5 spot, it is questionable.

I recently sold most of them from a box I had due to the fact they had been sitting around for a couple of years, and I never went near them.

Then I go and try them finally, and find they are an excellent smoke.I should have known better TBH, as I have never had a bad Trini yet.

They have all the creamy nuttiness which you would expect, but the fact they are aged obviously has a positive effect on the tastes and IMO they are slightly more spicy than the likes of the Rob Extra.

To summarise, I would purchase another box.

It was the corona vitola and I find it to be the best of the bunch for the MOW. Glad you enjoyed it!
